Cultivating Curiosity and Effecting change through relatable fiction

I’m Jennifer (she/her), a Michigan-based writer currently seeking representation for my contemporary upmarket novel, THE END, BY ME, a high-stakes tale about an unlikely activist who challenges a secret society's deadly agenda and must reckon with the consequences.

Welcome to my digital hub!

In my blog, Inquisitive Ink, I share behind-the-scenes access to this writer’s wacky life, explore what it means to be a good literary citizen, and unpack why self-expression is a vital form of authoritarian resistance.

You’ll also learn how my personal battles with mental illness and neurodivergence galvanized my writing trajectory and inspired my passion for advocacy.

Along the way I’ll talk with other writers and creators and share resources that have facilitated my professional, mental and emotional growth. My backstory is messy, but my character arc is one of hope— and I have a lot to say about it.

I invite you to come in and poke around.

A bit about me

When I’m not writing, I’m generally involved in my community. I’m an active member of my Friends of the Public Library. I volunteer with a local domestic abuse and sexual violence shelter and at a used bookstore that benefits a no-kill animal shelter. I’m on the ballot in August as a Precinct Delegate and make noise civically when my moral code demands it. When time allows, I enjoy antiquing, thrifting, reading, spending time with family, baking, crafting, and snuggling my 6-year-old Beagle, Oscar.

Thanks for stopping by, and please reach out with any questions!

Join My Newsletter!

I know. Everyone and their parakeet has a newsletter. So what makes mine more magical from the next spamming your already overflowing inbox? Maybe nothing. Perhaps significantly. Sign up if for no other reason, that my emails are the most reliable way to get need-to-know information from me. I’ll never share your information, and you can unsubscribe at any time. But I do hope you’ll stick around—I always include at least one cute dog pic per email.

I’m semi-social. Come see what I’m up to.
